The Tech Lead Powering AI for Sustainable Solutions
Inge van den Ende is the Tech Lead of the Market Forecasting Team at Dexter Energy, an AI-powered forecast and trade optimization company. Specialized in building scalable software systems and predictive models, her work is valuable in helping her company build products that drive the renewable energy transition.
When she is not developing software or creating smart forecasts, Inge can be spotted enjoying the outdoors. Her favourite activities include cycling, running, ice skating or simply taking in the sun. In fact, even when she is working, her team knows that a one-on-one meeting with Inge often means going out for a walk.
Smart Forecasts for a Greener Future: Making Real-World Impact
At Dexter Energy, Inge’s expertise lies in building probabilistic time series forecasting and scalable systems. With her team, she delivers live forecasts for more than eighty different models that empower product teams to develop innovative solutions that accelerate the renewable energy transition.
Thanks to smart, data-driven forecasting, Inge has made a measurable real world impact: reducing more than 30,000 tons of CO₂ emissions during her time at Dexter.
Inge’s impact, however, extends far beyond her organization as she is a strong advocate for knowledge sharing. Her recent video with knowledge sharing about probabilistic forecasts is just out, which people can watch here. An interesting watch for women that want to learn more about data science.

With her goal of enabling more people to apply complex probabilistic forecasting techniques, Inge strives to share her expertise in a clear and understandable way. In fact, to expand her platform to a wider audience, the presentations she gave on advanced AI topics such as conformal prediction, level set forecasting, and quantile regression forests are made available on YouTube.

Dedicated to empowering women in the field of AI, Inge makes valuable contributions to events featuring women. Through her involvement in PyLadies workshops, bootcamps, and AI4ALL initiatives, she actively encourages women to step into the field and helps them thrive along the way. Her mentorship and advocacy have already inspired several women to join Dexter Energy and pursue careers in Artificial Intelligence.
Her approach reflects a broader vision: an AI community that is not only technically excellent but also inclusive and collaborative. By openly sharing her knowledge and supporting women, Inge helps shape a field where innovation and diversity grow hand in hand.
